Judging Process

Initial entry assessment

The entry is reviewed and the answer to each question is given a score. So it’s important every question is answered in full and includes as much detail as possible within the prescribed word count.

The creation of a shortlist

Once all the entries are read, a shortlist of the most outstanding candidates are reviewed again. Entrants who do not make the shortlist are notified via email.

Finalists determined

The Judges make a final assessment of each entry and choose the Top 50 Listees. All finalists are confidentially notified and their success is also announced to the media with this embargoed for release until after the event.

Announcement of the winners

As part of the List announcement process, Davidson will host an event where the finalists are celebrated and the Listees are announced.

Judging Criteria

  • The Judges look for the qualities that all truly outstanding leaders behold:
  • A positive contribution to the community through their work
  • A positive contribution to building high performing teams and supporting colleagues as a leader – enhancement of the organisation’s culture
  • Transformational leadership through continuous improvement and innovation
  • Supporting other women in the sector
  • The Judges consider every detail and each answer is scored out of ten for how well it addresses the criteria.
